rapid test, elisa, and a pcr by DNA test question

First of all thanks to everyone who helps with these difficult questions. I had an unprotected sexual encounter with a woman (i am a male) a few weeks back. I am not sure of her hiv status but she says she is clean not to worry. Well I did.

At 4 weeks i had a negative clearview rapid test
At 5 weeks I had a negative elisa test
and recently at 5 and a half weeks i had a negative PCR DNA test

I have have been extremely anxious about this, honestly because I am married and when my wife was out of town I went to a local bar, got drunk and make a very regretable mistake. I have been avoiding my wife ever since, and she is growing suspicious.

I know people here are not to fond of the pcr dna test, but I payed the money to have it done because I have to protect my wife from my stupidness. My questions are without getting into political motives why dont people like the pcr dna?

false positives? ok I tested negative (or in-conclusuve or whatever they say)

after the elisa at 5 weeks, all you pros say, or agree that they have not seen one come back positive later.

The pcr dna looks for the actual virus not the antibodies, wouldnt that be more accurate?

I know that 90 days is considered conclusive by the fda, but lab corp- says that this test is conclusive after 28 days agreed?

do you think that I am safe to be again with my wife and go back to my life?

thanks again to everyone

Why would your test say undetectable if you have HIV? Is it that it's not fad approved? Are you undetectable because of all the meds you take? Why would lab Corp endorse a test that means nothing? And why would many doctors, including one on your panel call it one of the more accurate tests? Why would wikipedia include it on HIV tests?

PCR-DNA are not approved diagnostic tests. I've had HIV for 26 years I get a PCR-DNA test every four months and it says undectable, does that mean I don't have HIV? Hell no. PCR-DNA tests are monitoring tests for people that are HIV positive to monitor their HIV progresson.

so the PCR test is a good test... from all the tests that I have searched in terms or early detection it seems to be the most accurate, as well as sensative, when they iron the kinks out and lets say its fda approved then does it get the blessing from this site? is your only reservation because some board does not agree with it?

We will not endores that you do not have HIV until you have a 3 month antibody test. We are not going to break what we believe and what we say.

Does your 5 week Elisa test signal that you probably don't have HIV...yes, but as I said a 3 month antibody test is conclusive.

The PCR while it is a good test it is not marketed as a diagnostic test.

So in summary...chances are you do not have HIV, but we will not endorce having unprotected sex with your wife until you have a negative 3 month antibody test.
