scared!!
I had an encounter on Aug 26 with a black girl in Namibia Southern Africa. First we had sex with me on top with a condom. I then performed oral on her. Whlie switching positions, she looked at my penis and began removing the condom, I stoped her and she insisted, The condom looked intact, the top of my penis was covered. She removed it and them put a new condom on and we had protected sex again. Its been in my mind that mabey she seen a hole in the condom that I didn't? Remembering from the time, it looked ok to me.
About 7-8 days later, I had a sore throat, not a bad one, most of my ship mates had a similar thing and put it off as the extreamly dry air in namibia. I had sore throats before and this one indeed seemed different. Then my tounge tourned white for a few days, The white would come off when i rubbed my tounge between my teeth. My taste buds on the back of my tounge became enlarged and I lost my voice for about 3 days. When I got home to America all was well. Between 2-3 weeks after the encounter, I had pains that would come and go in my hands and feet and a mild headack at times. This also went away. About 7 weeks after the encounter I had a cold with stuffed blocked nose. One lymphnode in my neck became swollen. This all went away in about 3-4 days.
I am totally scared I got HIV. Is it most likely If the top of the condom appeared intact to me then it was not broken on the bottom? She disposed of the condom and i forgot to check it. Is all this just a scare or did I have a real risk?

Unprotected Oral Sex is NOT a risk for HIV in the "real world". You should NEVER rely on anyone's evaluation of their HIV status. You used a condom during vaginal or anal sex, therefore you were protected. Your "symptoms can NOT be ARS from this episode.

Thanks JeanClaude. I guess I would have known if it broke. The girl also told me the next day she was hiv negative. What about the oral sex and the symptoms i had at 7-8 days? are they signs or ARS?
If your condom failed, you would have known for sure. Condoms do NOT develop "holes", they rupture catastrophically.
