Please help me!

Three months ago I had failed vaginal sex with my girlfriend who had two babies, one was seven month old, looked like health, another had six year old, healthy. After that, I had many symptoms including ucler in outside mouth corner, lyph node in neck is big at first two weeks, discomfortable in throat, sometime stomatch pain and some diarrhea, dry mouth and rise temperature(oral 99.3). I did following test:
10/14/08(after exposure 25 days),RNA loading,CD4/CD8 ratio and liver enzyme activity,CBC,HIV antibody, all normal.
10/30/, 11/15, 11/25, 12/10, Home access kit, EIA test negative.
11/22, my girlfriend using Home access kit, EIA test negative.
11/25, RNA loading PCR, negative.
12/10 (12 weeks after exposure), Elisa test positive, but Western blot(three antibodies) show negative.
Doctor ask me one month later to see him again.
So many tests I did, and gave me so many axiety. Now I had some diabiet. This may cause exccesive dry mouth. I had herpes simple2 from that sex. I have EBV,and CV virus, I do not have Heptitis A,B,C.
Please help me answer why Elisa test positive and Western blot negative, which one is more sensetive? If next time, both positive?
How to reduce my anxiety, which already cause problem to me?
Does Home access kit be reliable, although it was approved by FDA?
Your efforts are realy appreciated!

You are conclusively negative and you were also advised in the expert forum of the same thing.

If you are that nervous, simply test again but with a Rapid  Test. I am highly, highly confident it will be NEGATIVE and you should too. Walk in, get it done, and move on. Your EBV or CV could possibly have been the cause of the FALSE POSITIVE. Many pregnant women even get a "POSITIVE" even though they are negative. It truly seems you have alot of anxiety, I encourage you to think that through.

Jean:
Thank you and I will try to move on and never sex.
I still concern if next time, Elisa would show positive. I can not hold more.

Occasionally an ELISA will cross- react to other Antibodies. An ELISA is the more sensitive test, this is why it is used at point of care locations (Doctors' office etc.) The Western Blot is a Confirmatory Test and will very rarely  be a False Positive . Likewise will rarely be a FALSE NEGATIVE. If your Western Blot and multiple follow -up ELISA's were negative and 3 months after your last exposure, you're conclusively HIV NEGATIVE.
Receiving a POSITIVE ELISA is definitely traumatizing, but please trust your WB and follow-ups. Move on with your life.
