kindly move along...you never had a risk
hey guys, its two and a half months now after the exposure. my friends said my skin is becoming darker, i also loss my appetite, and some itchiness and rash that come and goes.i also had occassional cough,it only happen when my throat itch.my muscle aches specially my legs usually attack early in the morning.. do you think i already have advance hiv symptoms.. it really scares me..
if you had oral sex only, you are not at risk for hiv,
if you engaged in unprotected anal / vaginal sex you are in risk, need to be tested for hiv,
now you pass 2 months, can test now for excellent indication of your final status at 3 months
Move on. Oral sex does not transmit HIV.
odds of you becoming infected are INCREDIBLY rare...at 67 days you can be very confident that you are negative, especially since the average person becomes detectable(if positive) after 20-30 days, especially with symptoms. i wouldn't worry if I were you
HOWEVER, @balaji72....oral sex is a possible way of transmitting HIV and other STIs. although it is more unusual than vaginal/anal sex, there is definitely a possibility of transmission
same here....i got my 67 days negative...now waiting for 3 months for conclusive result...my symptoms is red spots on my chest now...and i had been vertigo for 2 months....
right now im experiencing joint pain and muscle wasting, itching on my throat and fatigue, a sand a sore on my scrotal sack..is it still a symptom of hiv? if you say 1:10000 i think i would be the unluckiest guy who catches hiv.

This is not a doctor forum. You did describe the symptoms of acute infection. It is very rare to get HIV from heterosexual vaginal sex. Even if your partner was infected your chances of getting it from vaginal fluid are something like 1 in 10,000. It doesn’t matter much that you put on a condom after initial penetration. You still had a possible exposure.
You may want to get tested just because of the acute infection; However it was far more likely another virus.
