He said he's clean, he's most likely telling the truth. Even if he wasn't, chances are pretty low that you would contract HIV from that exposure. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Hi there,
From what you have described, your risk of HIV infection is remote. The symptoms you had are not HIV specific.
Personally, I would not test for single incident like this. However, I recommend all sexually active person to have STD, including HIV, test at least yearly.
Cheers!
Uniquelymen,
I completely agree with your reply, particularly the last sentence. Be careful, Teak is attacking people for encouraging others to get tested.
nic1990,
Your situations is very low risk. The only thing you should expect is a negative when you get tested.
You are creating drama where it does not belong. That is NOT being helpful to people who need it.
Consider your post reported....this is not the place for interpersonal disputes and your ego being bruised.
Thank you for the post. would you still say the same thing if I have poor dental health? Can you get it even if there was no fluid but you have a abrasion in your mouth? I did not taste any fluid and he said that there was not any, wouldnet I be able to taste it if there was?
No risk. The mouth is inhospitable for HIV transmission.
Thank you for the information Teak. I went to the Dr. yesterday and had blood work done and urine sample taken. My white blood count was good and everything else was normal except they think i could have pre diabetis. If I where to have an STI or STD would it have showed up in the test? If not when you should I get tested. I am thinking the reason for the abdominal pain is the pre diabetis?
Testing for STDs varies. Contact your local STD clinic or doctor and they will advise you when to test. Make sure you keep a check on that diabetes.
If there where to be and std or sti would my blood count be lower? Because this is probly 2 weeks after exposer.
did your doctor do you an h pylori test for your abdominal pain?
No not that I am aware of, There were 3 blood test done and a urine sample.
probably your doctor doesnt think that you need one. any way as long as you are seeing ahealth care profecional then you are OK.
Would an STD or STI infect the stomach or intestins? I do have a patch of white on the roof of my mouth but it could be due to sinus drainage. I do have acid reflux as well. Anything is help!
Do you think that I need to have an HIV test done at 3 weeks?
