worried about possible exposure

Hi Doctor,

I would like to know whether  the activity i was involved a month back is a possible exposure to HIV. I had gone to a bar in singapore (night bar). In the bar, I just had a little fun with the bar girl, like touching her breast, kissed it couple of times, thats it. There was no kissing, or any kind of sex activity performed. The thing that bothers me is, out of curiosity, i tried to touch her vagina, but before i could touch that, she stopped me saying that she was having her periods. She was in full clothes all the time and also, she was wearing a sanitary napkin. I just touched the beginning of the pubic hair and then removed it, may be for a second. I felt it dry and there was nothing in my hand when i looked at it. Now the thing that scares me.

1. Visible blood can cause infection, i can understand that. But, can this activity, where i have touched her, very close to the vagina (not on the vagina), can it cause infection, if after 15 to 20 min, i accidentally rub my nose or eyes with the same hand.

2. After 2 hours, when i reached home, i got a small cut on my finger. I immediately washed it. Does this pose a risk to me.

As i say again, i did not see any visible blood, nor my hand were wet, but the anxiety is killing me. Please tell me if i a test is needed.

muscle aches in YOUR case are more than likely caused from staying all tensed up from the anxiety you are experiencing.

YOU DO NOT HAVE A HIV CONCERN...MOVE ON

Thanks for the comment Teak. I know i am anxious on this and I will ask one more question before i end this thread. Can dried blood or vaginal fluids in the pubic hair region act for a possible transmission of HIV. This will be my last question and after this there will be no more questions from me.

Thanks for the comment. I know that i am paranoid over the situation, but still the what if questions come creeping into my mind all the time. Just want to make sure that i dont need to take any kind of test.

I hope the experts can analyse my situation and answer my question.

I would say that you had zero risk but let the experts answer you. I had the same problem as you, I mean, anxiety and all that stuff for nothing.  We have to relax a little bit :-)

Akishimo.
