worried

i had protected sex with a sex worker about 7 weeks ago. i went to a dr. about a week after and got an initial test that came back neg. he gave me an antibiotic just in case something was pos. then i had an ear infection and took another round of antibiotics. i developed some sores in the throat and tonsils but have had no fever (in fact it has been low around 97) no rash, diarrhea, joint pain. i have had mild swollen lymph nodes in my neck but i also have been poking at them. i had a test done at week 4 and it came back neg. as well, but the dr gave me a prescription for levoquin. still do this day i have the sores in my throat but no pain. and i developed a yeast infection, and a little bit of oral thrush. could this be because of the antibiotic use? i am worried about hiv, should i go get another test? or do you think the symptoms are stress related?? thank you for your time

You never had a risk, you never needed testing, and really, your doc should have never given you antibiotics (I'm guess you were probably insistent on needing some kind of medication?).  Totally unrelated topic, but this is a perfect example of why antibiotics have become so ineffective, you did NOT need them.

Yes, the thrush is from the antibiotics (another reason it was unnecessary, you ended up with thrush and a yeast infection).

Protected sex is safe sex in regards to HIV.  You need to let this go.  NO further testing is needed.  The ONLY way you would EVER be at risk is if you had unprotected sex (vaginal or anal) OR shared IV drug works.  That's IT.
