Am I having symptoms of a heart attack?

For the past 2 weeks I have had issues with my heart having some sort of irregular beat, or atrial flutter. This is seeming to be accompanied by almost a slight "hard to breathe" symptom.

I have recently gone to the E.R. for care on this because my heart seemed to palpitate more frequent than usual and for longer periods of time. There I was attached to an EKG, Vital, and also told that I needed a CT scan because there was a light increase in my blood level (unsure of the level title) that could be a possible clot. All came back negative and was told that I might have had too much stimulant (Caffeine), then released.

Now tonight, I feel slight random almost jolt in my chest, seems like it almost takes my breath away. Feels as if my heart is going to flutter/palpitate, yet it does not. There is also a deep pain in my bicep muscle in my left arm, and a sort of sharpish pain in my wrist at random. This pain has resided for over 20-30 minutes now, and also leg craps if I get up or move my legs wrong.

Now I read that tonight's symptoms could be relevant to lack of Potassium? Could this be true as well?

I feel they should have checked for this as well, instead of worrying about my heart in general. I get it, it's procedure, but still could be used to implement some sort of "ruling out" and or checklist.

Any ideas?

If potassium levels are off, yes, you can have various heart related symptoms. My Mom has been through that, I had to take her to the hospital. But with a bit of potassium she was fine again. The only way you would know if your levels are off is through a blood test. Try eating a banana or dried apricots to boost your potassium levels a bit.

If you're having some arrhythmias, they'll have to see it on an ECG to determine what type and whether they need to be treated. If you're lucky, your heart will hop, skip and jump while you're on the ECG machine. Most of us are not that lucky. So the next step is to wear a heart monitor   that will record your rhythm for 24-48 hours. See what your doctor thinks.

I forgot to add in this, that I am 25 years of age. I do smoke regularly. I eat an "okay" diet, and am not overweight to my knowledge.

I am 6'5" 235 lbs. I was a former overweight child, and teenager until the age of 19. My record High School weight was around 410 lbs.
