Chest tightness after sports? (throat tightness too)

Hi,

If I'd have the money, i'd go to the doctor immediately but i'm kind of broke so
that has to wait for now. I'd love to know if any of you recognizes my symptoms and could
perhaps help me get more insight into the cause of my symptoms.

In the past i think have noticed i had chest tightness at least a couple of times,
but it always went away quickly and it was never anything serious.

But since yesterday after jogging, i started having a tighter chest than ever.
breathing through the chest feels like there's 10kilograms pushing on my chest,
and it also hurts.

I started breathing through the belly because this doesn't expand my chest. (so it doesn't stress it)
I drank alcohol tonight to see if the chest tightness would disapear,
and even though it didn't disapear completely...

it disapeared for the most part.
Breathing through the chest doesn't hurt anymore
... but it still feels heavy.

i feel like if i'd go on with breathing to the chest again,
that my problem with chest tightness would get worse quickly.

WHY have i been fine breathing through the chest for years,
and now suddenly not anymore?

one other thing.

---------------------------------

Last week i got really upset about something,
and i could feel my throat become really tight... my chest might have been really tight too at the time,
but my throat seemed most tight so that's where my attention went.

maybe this is connected to it?

----------------------------------

Any ideas or tips are welcome!

I agree with your diaphramatic breathing hypothesis; however, do you have any  Shortness of breath or wheezing with your breathing?  Maybe asthma is the culprit?

I think i've found the possible cause of my problems.
I think i may have been breathing shallow for a big part of my life.
This means i have been breathing through my chest and probably not deeply and frequently enough as well.

I suspect i may have had not enough oxygen or blood flow,
and that's why recently i've been having more and more problems with
little spasms all over my body and also with tenseness in my chest and also the lower part of my body.

It's perhaps a bit too soon to cheer,
but since today i have been breathing through my diaphragm,
and i feel much more energetic than i used to...

maybe i'm just imagining this,
but it feels like the blood in my body is circulating much better...
or perhaps it's just the fact that there is a higher concentration of oxygen in my blood,

which is therefor able to support the organs and muscles much better than it used to.
the tightness in my chest seems to have gone too now...

I FEEL GREAT. AMAZING.

i hope these positive effects stay with me,
and the tenseness in body parts stays gone.

i recommend everyone who has not paid attention to their breathing
to do so.

by the way,
i drink alcohol only 1 time every one or two weeks.

when i got upset, it only lasted for 5 minutes
so the tight throat/tight chest went away after 5 minutes...

so not being able to breath to the chest because of the tightness
is only since yesterday,
though i suspect my chest may have been tight for a long time...
perhaps longer than 2 years, maybe 5 or 10 years i don't know...

it just never became a problem until now!
