Could this be serious?

I am a 12yr old female. It's the middle of the night and I am not telling my parents because I know they will say it's nothing to worry about. So I woke up around 3:00 am to wierd feeling in my chest as if I couldn't breathe, I could breathe completely fine though but it felt uncomfortable. It  was in the middle of my "lower" chest. Hard to describe exactly where. It got a bit worse and it felt like someone was "squeezing" my heart or lungs or it felt like a sharp pain in my chest except it wasn't painful. I tried sitting up and it didn't work, I took my bra off and it didn't work. Well now its progressing at the moment and its getting a bit painful. I take the medications clonidine, vyvanse, and dextromaphane (might have spelled them wrong). I don't have asthma, or any other conditions. I am not stressed or have any anxiety.  I put this in heart disease because I don't know where else to put it.

You don't say why you are taking Clonidine?  Because of your age, I'm going to guess that it's for attention-deficit disorder.  One of the side effects of Clonidine can be a sense of shortness of breath.

Vyvanse, another med for ADHD, can also cause shortness of breath.

There is no medication with the name 'dextromaphane,' but there is Dextroamphetamine.  Is this what you are taking?  It also is used to treat ADHD.  It belongs to a class of drugs often referred to as 'Speed.'

You appear to be taking 3 medications of the same type for some condition.  It is time to talk to your doctor to find out if you are being overdosed or if these 3 drugs are responsible for the discomfort you describe.
