When my mother would get heart attacks her only symptoms was out of breath. Her brother had what he thought was a flu for a couple of weeks, and then had a sudden fatal heart attack at the age of 31. He died of severe coronary artery disease per autopsy. I, too, get chest pains and find now that if I take a 81mg low dose aspirin a day it really helps eliminate the chest pains. I have been getting chest pains for 9 years and have had the usual of heart tests and nothing was found. If a person is very sick to be on the safe side should go to the doctor and a EKG usually will indicate if there is something wrong with the heart. I know last year I was so sick for five days with a flu and had a high fever all those days and did not see the doctor. Another scary thing is when the viruses go to the heart or brain. I am always worried about that when the children get sick. Best thing to do is to take good care of yourself when sick and if there is any indication of not getting better to see a doctor just in case.
yes, because, I too have been having chest pains and elavated pb and now I have "the Classic Cold" runny nose, nausa, weakness, etc So when do I go to hospital, when do i just say it's the cold.
