I am a 47 year old woman who recently had an MRI which yielded the following results:
Dilated left ventricular cavity size is severely depressed systolic function. Calculated left ventricular ejection fraction is 35%. There is severe global hypokinesis. Trace mitral regurgitation. Trace tricuspid regurgitation. Technically challenging study due to irregular heart rhythms/frequent ventricular ectopy.
I have also had a cardic catheterization which showed no blockages.
Can you please explain the MRI findings in layman terms. Also, is this reversable.
Sincerely,
Irene in OH
