Helpful Forum? "URGENT"

Pulse rate of 146?  Is this too high for 90-year-old woman who has tightness in her chest and shortness of breath?  The pulse rate was 146.  It is now 66.  The shortness of breath is no longer. Nor is the tightness in chest felt now.

Do I need to let this go since my mom is feeling okay now?  Or do I need to consider this an emergency even though the symptoms have subsided?

Will someone please help me with this question?>

A rate of 146 is too high. That's considered tachycardia. What needs to be done is find out why her HR went up like that. How long did it last? Was she sick, dehydrated, upset? Things like that. If it happens again, do call her doctor or take her in to some urgency care.
