High BP correllation to low pulse rate?
A Seventy-one year old ocean sailor. Been sailing over oceans for 23 years with my wife. No regular Doctor.
Diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation two years ago by Triple XXX machine. Take amidiarone for arrythmia - take half the recommended dose to avoid some side effects, ie., lower pulse rate.
rarely have Arrythmia now. Take one Cozaar 50mgs daily. BP recently about 165/85. Pulse rate 37 this morning prior to medication. Usually Pulse is 39/42. Has been for years.
Athlete when young may explain low pulse to some extent. Clearly, BP 165/85 too high still.
Plan to take a herbal treatment claimed to cure Atrial Fibrillatiion.
That high BP, suggestions please?
