Is it Angina?

I am in my mid fifties, am an alarmist and worry about heart disease.  I have mild high blood pressure (140/80)which is under control with medication (125/80)  My lipid profiles are all well within the normal range.  My BMI is 28.   I work out at an exercise gym and go on the treadmill 3 days a week for 30 minutes in a cardiac workout at level 8 or 9.  My father had an angioplasty at age 67.   Over the past few weeks I have noted that I get some mild tightness in the left corner of my chest near my shoulder, which can sometimes radiate to my neck.  It generally comes on after light exercise or while I am on the treadmill, but it can also occur while working at my desk.  It usually lasts for 30 - 60 minute and does not affect my workout in any other manner.   The mild pain is relieved if I place my hand on the tightened area.   Should I be concerned?

sounds muscular to me from what you describe. A heart problem would certainly not be relieved by pressure on the area and during exercise is the time you would really notice it kick in.
