Losartan,Telsar - Tumors

Hi,

I have been taking losartan for the last 4 years for hypertension .I have been dioganised with 3 benign tumors( schwannoma in my right arm, osteoma in the forehead and hemangioma in my liver) in the last 1 year.last month i read reports that stated clinical studies have proved that losatran and telsar increases the risk of cancer significantly.

Could my situation(benign tumors and BP medication) be one of this and should i visit my cardio to check on my hypertensoion medication

Thanks,

StanfordHealth.org. " More research needed on whether blood pressure drugs affect cancer risk. A common class of blood pressure drugs called angiotensin-receptor blockers (ARBs) may be linked with a slightly increased risk of developing cancer, US scientists have found.

But Cancer Research UK emphasised that no firm conclusions can be drawn from their study and that people who take ARBs should not stop using their prescribed medicines without first talking to their GP."
