MAN THIS IS ANNOYING.....

I am 22, a female,
i have been waking up for the past few nights with rapid heart beats about 111-125/bpm
this only happens while i am sleeping and right after i wake up.
it takes about 10-20 even 30 mins to calm down. After my heart calms down it palpitates. thumping really hard around 75-100/bpm.
i have always been healthy never smoked, drunk alcohol, nor have i done any kind of drugs.
this all is a recent thing that has been happening to me and dont understand y. some day are better than other where i don't get rapid beat or thumping heart beats.
i have been trying to ask around is this part of anxiety, or is this a disease/
i have even read about other stories on MedHelp about women i the same situation that i am in.
SOMEBODY PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH, AND RESPOND.
I NEED SOME KIND OF CONSOLING. THANKS
oh yeah forgot to mention some time i can feel my pulse all over my upper body and esp. in my neck and head if i am laying down.

a heart rate over 120 bpm at rest is abnormal, i know mine does it regularly, go to your doctor he can run some tests and if neccesary refer you to a cardiologist,he may refer you for a 24hr ecg.
mine always plays up at night and wakes me feeling like i can't breathe, good news is there are many meds out there to help control it.

i know it's a nuisance but it's a very common problem, especially on this site.

good luck kymmy
