Am I having a heart attack at 36?

Tension/Pain in head, neck and upper back on the left side along with fluttering in chest, what does this mean?

I don't think that's the way to look at it. If you look at the decline of the normal American's lifestyle in the past 3 or 4 decades, it may be a better statement that without western medicine there would be much more heart disease. This time period coincides with the progress of procedures and medicines in the fight against heart disease. Let's face it, people have been dying from heart disease since the beginning of time. The true measurement is how much of an impact modern medicine has had on keeping heart disease in check.

Just another point of view.

Mia it sounds like a panic attack. But if you have not had symptoms like this before, you should go to the ER. They can put you on an EKG to monitor your heart activity.
