Racing heart after eating sugars

AFTER I EAT SOMETHING SUGARY [COOKIES, WAFFLES, ICE-CREAM] OR DRINK A CAN OF SODA MY HEART STARTS TO RACE REALLY FAST [IT FEELS LIKE ITS JUMPING OUT OF MY CHEST. WHAT IS GOING ON? THIS HASN'T HAPPENED THIS WAY BEFORE, ONLY RECENTLY AND IT IS GETTING WORSE.
