Is mild pulmonary regurgitation something to worry about?

Hi, i am 20 yrs old male, i was healthy and my fitness was so good, i have mild PR since i was a child, diagnosed when i was 14, one year ago I experienced shortness of breath and it was constant, a chest and back pains, and when i do a minimum exertion i feel a strong feeling of fatigue and nausea as well as shortness of breath (I AM AFRAID OF HAVING PULMONARY HYPERTENSION) , two days ago i was with a cardiologist and did ECG, and he told me that the regurgitation is the same (mild), and said you're okay don't worry it is psycho factors that made you feel this feeling AND YOU DONT HAVE PULMONARY HYPERTENSION !! And recommended me to play sports and enroll in a gym center, my total concern is, WOULD THIS REGURGITATION GET WORSER? DOES THIS FEELING OF STRESS AND FATIGUE AND CONSTANT SHORTNESS OF BREATH CAME FROM ANXIETY?? I AM REALLY SCARED AND DESPERATE ABOUT MY CASE, WILL IT GO AWAY? And let me be healthy again?

I would ignore it. If you stop worrying about your heart and relax, you will see that exercising will improve soon.

Thank you so much for your full of hope words :), so do you recommend me to ignore the weird fatigue I experience when applying any exertion? And what is more serious if you know, high blood pressure or pulmonary hypertension? Thanks again

It's one of the oldest problems in medicine, when a patient knows the results, they can't stop thinking about it and worrying. As stated, your situation is mild and nothing to worry about. If you didn't know about your situation, you would probably never worry about it. If you look at everyone around you, at least half of them will be in the same boat but they are unaware and so just get on with their lives. Don't let these mental blocks cause you to not enjoy sports, exercise will pay off big time over the years. The news you've had is not bad at all, so enjoy life :)

A lot of people have regurgitation of one or more of their heart valves.
As long is it is "trace" or "mild" there is no problem and no symptoms come from it.

So, it seems to me that physically you are a healthy person. Now you need to defeat the anxiety that is clearly playing a too big role in your life. All your symptoms could be explained by the anxiety you experience.

Regurgitation can become worse over the years but it can also remain stable for the rest of your life. You will have to wait and see.
Life is always full of surprises, many of them are very pleasant. Enjoy them!
Don't ruin your life with bothering about things that may never come.
