Thank you 2 for responding. i have managed to get it lower today.
There was a small symbol on my monitor my son noticed.
It meant it had detected 2 or more irregular heart beats during the blood
presurre test.
We have been watching closely, but it has not happened again.
Today is the 1st day my pulse has been under 100..
I guess will just monitor and see what happens.
Thanks again, I didn't know and I thought my 1o1 to 111 pulse was normal.
I'll keep you posted.
You have a high resting pulse, it should be less than 80. But you didn't say if it stayed high thorughout the day. Like the above post states, there are many things that can cause your pulse to be high, but it shouldn't stay high for any length of time, except while exercising. If it is remaining high, see your doctor.
I am not a doctor. Most sources say 60 to 100 is a normal adult resting pulse rate. Other sources say 60 to 80 is best, and some recent studies indicate keeping pulse rate (nonexercising/resting) under 80 may help prevent or delay some health problems.
Pulse rate varies throughout the day, depending on what you're doing, your emotional state, what you've eaten and/or had to drink, etc. Pulse rate can go up if you are dehydrated and/or have an infection. Many medications, including over-the-counter items and herbs, etc. can affect your pulse rate, too.
Your blood pressure is normal, which is a good thing. I guess I would check your pulse again and if you continue to not feel well, contact your doctor to address what's causing you to feel poorly.
