angina or esophagitis

i am 35 fem 5.5 9 stone. resting heart upon awakening 55-63 bp 10.5-6.5-underactive thyroid.3 children.diagnosed with erosive gastritis/reflux /esophagitis last October.was on meds for 7 months now free from meds

i have an issue i want your opinion with.

i walk to work EVERYDAY which is about 1 - 1.5hrs from my home.

well last August before i was diagnosed sometimes i would get pains like "bruising" which were mostly on my rightside chest and inside my throat like when you have an extremely sore throat and slightly elevated heart rate. No other symptoms . anyhow it went away but now again it's happening some times. i must admit it does happen on a milder form even if i just sit around but ALWAYS after i have eaten certain types of food.i don't know if it's angina but it worries me. also sometimes i get elevated heart rate after i eat.

When these episodes happen i don't have any other symptoms like nausea or short of breath just bruising pain in that area . my numbers are excellent impressive as drs put it. my diet is controlled and always have been and although i work in an office i walk around everywhere. i had a negative stress test 5 yrs ago and echo 2 yrs ago all good. i must admit that it usually happens if i've had breakfast and then walk to work. during my walks i otherwise feel great. culd it be just my esophagitis since i have stopped all meds?
no family history of heart prbs.

tks.yes, i was on pantoprazole since November 2010. the dr took me off the meds about 2 months ago to see how i cope. there was no mention of a hiatal hernia though. but is it possible i am getting acid just by walking?

I've got a nasty cardiac history as well as trouble with GERD/acid reflux.  My advice is to go back on the Meds.  I'm assuming you were taking Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI's).

PPI's are generally not very invasive and very helpful if taken as directed.  They need to be taken about 1/2 hour before large meals to be effective.  Your symptoms, in my opinion, sound like you have problems with a hiatel hernia.  These symptoms are not easy to sort out, but I'd urge you to reconsider stopping your meds, but do take take PPI's as directed.  If not taken correctly, they just make expensive urine.  Check out this site's GERD site for more information.
