Rhabdomyolysis is a life-threatening condition that results from myositis, a condition which destroys muscle cells causing pain, particularly in the calves and lower back. The condition can become so severe that it leads to kidney failure. Symptoms of rhabdomyolysis include, but may not be limited to, muscle pain, weakness, tenderness, fever, dark urine, nausea, and vomiting.

WOW! You've stopped your Meds??!!!

I think it would be wise to contact your Doctor for an appointment for a thorough check up and please be sure to inform him that you're no longer on meds.

Usually, lysinopril is given for heart failure/cardiomyopathy. Bruising calves are a serious concern. For an example, my Ejection Fracture is 20 with lysinopril. Can you imagine what would happen to me if I stopped taking lysinopril?

Show the Doc your bruised calves and take some heat......at least you'll appreciate it as your longevity increases.
