Hey guys I tell you anxiety can be a beast.  I have been having anxiety for the past 2 years to be exact.  I first found out I had anxiety when I was 31.  I am 34 now an dstill going with the anxiety.  This has gotten so out of hand I may be medically discharged fromt he Marines.  After 15 years of service go figure.  Anywho I had every test done on me known to man.  Right now as I type I am having anxiety.  I have been thinking I am going to fall ovver dead all day. LOL..  Anyway I cant tell you how to control it or that things will get better, but I can say it is a battle that can be won.  You need to keep positive and think everything is going to be fine.  Its the fear of losing yourself in the fight that makes us go nuts.  people dont ever understand and they look lat you like your a nut case.  As long as your test are positive and you still feel the pain when you pinch yourself lets you know your still alive.  The anixety hsnt beaten you and will never beat you as long as you fight hard.  Take life day by day and have faith that god will help you overcome.  Your going to be fine man!

Hi. I am 40 years old and a qualified nurse. i started to have anxiety and panic attacks along with palpatations, ectopic heart beats in 1988, thats over 20 years ago, and i'm still here to tell the tale! I HAVE HAD ALL THE TESTS GOING and all tests have come back normal. During my nurse training i found myself under extreme stress, I began to suffer with panic attacks which without a doubt brought on these abnormal heart symptoms. I know exactly how you feel. You feel very alone, and it is so scary,I thought I was going to die. if I can reassure you, although distressing, nothing is going to happen to you. I came across this site as I am currently having a racing heart after eating food, I just wanted to see if I was alone, I guess not! Our bodies tell us physically, that something is bothering us sub conciously, so many people dont acknowledge the link between what is going on in our heads,to the major symptoms we get in our body, especially our hearts.(Also to reassure you I get a fast  heart  when I stand up, and have also been told I have sinus tachycardia, I get the most odd symptoms! I would be here all night if i went through them all! ) I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry about your symptoms.Anxiety is a complete nightmare! I also must say, thats its only my faith as a christian that has enabled me to stay positive, and to keep my fear at bay. I am still a work in progress! but its my faith that has kept me from losing my mind! You have a great life ahead of you, dont let this spoil it for you.Hope that helps.

Hi,
I am 27 years old and I have anxiety too.  It's also in my family (mom, brother, sister).  I have a high heart rate after I eat sometimes and when I stand up quickly or when I'm feeling panicky (which is a lot!) or if something scares me.  I also get REALLY nervous and my heart races when I go to the dr.  I had to wear a heart monitor recently for 24 hours and then I go back this week to have an echocardiogram done to make sure it's not anything with the heart.  The dr. said it's sinus tachycardia which means fast heartbeat.  I totally understand what you're going through.
