Thank you! you mean a lot to me and to this Forum!
May God bless you abundantly :)
If you are in direct communication with Smiley, you get a lot of very good information. She is a survivor and fighter and knows about your problem. I agree with her, do see an Electro-Physicist. I had my heart burned to eliminate A-Fib, but if you have a history of anorexia that will complicate the issue. anorexia can remove from vital trace elements in you body, but it can also cause serious tooth problems as well as vocal chord damage.
I'll just add that my heart condition requires I monitor magnesium, sodium, potassium and other trace elements in my body every two weeks. I trust you are getting regular blood tests. Listen to Smiley, keep us informed.
My severe magnesium deficiency caused 250bpm for 7 hours and at that point (why didn't i do this in the first hour lol) i put a ice block against my heart to shock it back into rhythm. That hurt but it worked. :)
Hi there,
Thanks for the update. I don't know much about embolisms, so won't be able to be much of a help to you.
If the tachycardia persists and a 24hr holter ECG is no good - then you can opt for a Reveal monitor (last resort as it is a bit invasive) and that can be blue-toothed and downloaded as soon as an episode occurs.
I had a Reveal implant (syncope and arrhythmias) but had it removed as soon as I was diagnosed and treated.
All the best and keep us updated so what we can all learn from each other and be supportive to you.
Hi Smiley,
Thanks for the info.
Will be phoning this week.
Saw Cardiologist last week, she thinks possible embolism. Have to wait for next tachycardic episode to monitor to make sure.
Take care,
Hi there,
I have sent you a PM.
I am an ex-South African and hope I can help you get to an Electro-physiologist. That is the only type of Cardiologist that you should allow to do EP mapping and Ablation and you may not even need a pacemaker then.
I had A-fib and PSVT problems treated with Cardiac Ablation, during 2007. The EP Doc found an extra AV Node during EP mapping and successfully ablated it and I did not need a pacemaker.
If I had this done through a normal Cardiologist I definitely would have ended up with a pacemaker!
