Ejection Fraction

Hi, recently my boyfriend had 6 bypass surgery.  His ejection fraction was 22 after a MUGA scan was done after his surgery    After 6 weeks he had his second MUGA Scan and his EF went up to 28.  Can we expect the EF to improve even more?  We are unclear as to how long it may take for it to improve to at least over 36.
Thank you in advance for any help in understanding what we should expect for his recovery.

no one can tell you how much more it will improve. It usually takes up to 3 months for all cells to recover, those that will of course.

Thank you for your comment.  It's a slow heart aching process.  Nice to hear from someone who has some personal insight.
