heart

i recently had a echocardiogram dr said was ok but i was looking at test results and it said doppler color flow study revealed:trace or physiologic amounts of mitral and tricuspid insufficiency..what does this mean? i have high blood pressure taking meds 6 years heart disease in family  had been swellin in feet legs and ankles and some fluid in lungs  short of breath  tired.i had this fliud for 3 months  still have some but takinn 40mg of lasix aday and high blood pressure meds

What type of cardiomyopathy did your fater die of?

thank you so much for responding.puts my mind at ease..i lost my dad a year ago and he started out with the same symptoms as i have been having and he was gone in 1 year..but he had cardiomyopathy which is not inherited so i am told.but this sure had me scared..thank you again for your help:)

it mens that your heart is normal. The valves in your heart leak a little bit allowing the blood flow to move in the opposite direction. It is graded as Trivial, (trace) Mild, Moderate and Severe. just about everyone on the planet has this in a trivial form and it's nothing to worry about. The swelling you have can be caused by several things and is not limited to heart problems. The kidney function may be altered in some way or it could even be the veins in your legs are not working up to par and are allowing blood to pool in your feet and ankles.
