I was told after my gallbladder was removed that my blood goes back to my heart in a different direction.I was also told that if I were to get in an accident I should immediately tell someone that I have transverse blood return.
I have always thought,- since this, that if perhaps I was in an accident of sorts, I may not be able to say anything.
Can anyone tell me more about what this means? The surgeon has not kept my records, as this was some time ago. After a recent car accident this comes to mind and I am concerned I did not pay more attention to what the surgeon was trying to tell me . Please reply, thank you, Deb
The heart's anterior wall has some occulusion of a vessel causing (ischemia) lack of blood flow to the area in question. Reversible defects indicate ischemia, or a reduction of blood flow with increasing metabolic demands (usually exertion with a stress test). The fact the the resting images return to normal (reverse) indicates that there has been no permanent injury to the heart muscle
