Always get checked by your doctor first.  You need to be reassured that your heart is fine.  Once you are, you can come here and we can help you with your symptoms as much as possible.  A lot of us have fluttering...on a daily basis.

Hi jackiel,

I'm not sure how the nurse went from your symptoms "fluttering" to telling you that you have fluid retention.  If, however, she detected fluid retention on examination, you should talk with your doctor.  Giving birth sets off a chain of events including hormonal swings.  Sometimes people notice peculiar heart rhythms (PVCs/PACs) during these times even if they've never felt them before.  Nonetheless, you should talk with your doctor for a clinical assessment.  I don't think it's serious, but you have a little baby to take care of, and he/she needs his/her mom feeling good : )

Congratulations!
