Heart pauses only when drifting off to sleep HELP

2 weeks ago I suffered a severe anxiety attack. One day after this attack when I drift off to sleep I literally feel my heart pause, it feels like if someone popped out of the dark and scares you "your heart drops" that is how i can describe this.

It has made sleeping a nightmare. I already saw a cardiologist and had a holter monitor. My follow up is weeks away and he likely hasn't bothered checking my results.

Researching has brought more anxiety. Sinus node issues. Pacemakers. Etc etc. I am losing my mind on this.

Ekg which didnt last long came back normal. Blood work 3 times came back normal. Having to wait for these results is diaturbing to say the least.

Its difficult to tackle my anxiety when i am feeling my heart is going out.

I quit my daily coffee and no soda. No sweets. I even eat less because of all this.

I also now developed some internal tremor which comes ans goes, likely due to the anxiety attacks that occur daily in various ranges of mild to medium. I dont get much skipped beats during the day and being a freak checking my Heart rate alwaya between 60-100. Blood pressure is usually normal range. I am a 30 year old male. I just want to live and be a father and husband. I am sick of this feeling. These heart pauses only happen when going to sleep and sometimes even in a light sleep

Unfortunately that Holter is what is gonna shed light on this.

If this happened when you were awake it would be alot easier to predict how likely it is to require a pacemaker.

If you were older or younger the prediction is easier.

Given your age and circumstances its almost impossible. You need the results. These types of thinfs can occur due to PAC/PVC just as they can occur during SSS.

I wouldn't let it get too deep under your skin until that visit though. The fact that this is only an,issue when you rest your head at night is reassuring. You're supposed to have a low heart rate and be a bit more predisposed to periods of pause or arrest in this time. In principle if you told me "I get alot of 5 second pauses.." I'd be comletely captivated by your history; however if you finish by saying "They only occur when I'm falling asleep though", youre story just became alot less exciting.

It is possible to see this be a problem. Whether or not they occur to a concerning degree is only evident on holter though.

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful response. I agree the holter is the only thing at this point to shed light on this. The fact that this has all occurred right after a severe panic attack tells me anxiety is playing a major role in this.
I have the same thing had a holter in and it showed no  extra beats or pauses. Please don’t listen to the person above the ahve scared me on my post and others too. It’s a panic attack right before sleep bc your brain is so concentrated on your heart and nothing else. However there is a culprit of why this happens do you have posistional skipped beats?
