Can gas build up cause fast heart rate?

I’m 32 good health. Laying down watching tv and heart was racing and pounding like crazy.  I let a fart and burp out after a minute or two of it going on and it went right back to normal like nothing happened.

I would look up Roemheld Syndrome/ Gastro-Cardia. This is basically a condition where the vagus nerve (a nerve in your digestive system that controls your heart rhythm) gets irritated due to gas/hernia/food and causes arrhythmia/palpitations/PVCs/PACs. But you may want to go see your doctor about this just to make sure there's nothing serious going on.

Gas can definitely cause palpitations. I get palpitations from gas, large meals, fast food etc. Eat smaller portions, maintain a good diet and avoid things that make you gassy.

I feel like it can. I seem to feel like my heart is beating irregular after eating sometimes. It’s annoying. I am seeing gastro right now to rule out anything wrong in that area.
