Causes of PVC's

Do any of you know what is meant by caffiene or alcohol, or drugs can cause PVC's?  DO they mean that prior use could cause PVC's some time later or that while using and having those substances in your systems cuase PVCs?  I regularly drink caffiene, occasional (sometimes heavy) drink alcohol, and I dabbled in drugs in my younger years.  My PVC's happen or don't happen regardless of acohol or caffiene use (some day I will have large amounts of caffiene and no PVC's, others, no caffiene and my heart will flutter all day) and I haven't touched drugs in years.  As I type this I have had PVC's all morning...even before I had my first cup of green tea.  SOme clarity on what is meant by "causes" would be helpful.

I wish I could help. I have cut out caffeine pretty much completely and have not noticed any decrease in PVC's at all.  I must admit I do sleep better at night but the PVC's are still just as bad.  I haven't noticed any difference in moderate alcohol in myself as well.  Since I don't do recreational drugs at this point I couldn't say there.

Trigger is probably a better word for what you're describing.  Alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are all well-known triggers to people who experience PVC's.  It seems to be unclear whether or not your past history can attribute to your current state of arrhythmia.  PVC's are very frustrating in that there is no known true fix, although many people will swear by their own methods.  Your case sounds like min, the PVC's come and go at will, although in my case I believe alcohol will cause them the following day, with wine being the worst.  Hope this helps.
