No being from the UK I am not sure how they define pacs versus pvcs but suspect the wide versus narrow may be the distinction? Beyond your high and low heart rates due to your IST you may have had 226 pacs and 43 pvcs. For a 7 day period that isn't a lot. Unfortunately IST can be very hard to treat. Hopefully you can be helped with an ablation but your wait list is long. I have no experience with the issue. I had a different SVT so just give the meds a try and see if it helps. Make sure you drink lots of water. If you have low bp try to take in more sodium. Avoid caffeine and foods that irritate the stomach or cause gas like sugar, carbohydrates, spicy foods, large meals. If you exercises try and make sure you do a proper warm up and cool down. Best of luck. I know October feels a long way away but just hang in there and you will see the ep before you know it. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
No,not a misunderstanding , sadly it's the how the NHS in the uk is going at the moment. My cardiologist is the only one who's an electrocardiologist specialising in young people and the waiting list to see him is horrendous. I can see another doctor much earlier but they don't know what to do with me and keep referring me back to this particular one.
What other info would you need from the report?
I'm supposed to be on bisoprolol then ivabradine for my IST and this test is to see if I'm still suitable as I'm concerned about the HR going too low on the meds where my HR swings from high to low.
Wow, 5 months away? I'd call them up, sounds like a misunderstanding to me. Not enough info in your post to give you a meaningful "what does this mean" answer.
