EPS test?!

I am 38yrs old. I have been Dx 18yrs ago with a Pituitary tumor and 2yrs ago with PCOS. About 6yrs ago I started get "palps" every visit to ER they told me it was anxiety. Finally last October the pain got me admitted to the heart wing. At 2am the nurse came flying in asking if I was ok d if I felt anything.  Sure did, a minor one to me. She said I had VTAC and my heart skipped 11 beats. I'm thinking 1) Great it was FINALLY caught & 2) I wonder how many beats it skips when I have major episodes!!!
Flash forward a year, finally I have insurance.  Go do all the tests, they come back fine. Although my EKG was and has been for years, ABNORMAL. I BEGGED my cardiologist. Please don't turn ur back. I'm tired of living my life like this, trying not to go far from an ambulance,  a hospital. IM always in fear. They come and go as they please. I went 6 months without one, until about 3 months ago, now tbey r back again. Same time of the year too, coincidence?!
After my stress test driving home I had to pull over, palps, dizzy, s.o.b, very nauseous.
So he's made me an appt with the electrophysioligist, for a EPS test. Is this normal? No 30 day monitor? No heart MRI? He upped my coreg to 3x a day, I just lost 98pds. I don't need bp meds. I just am scared, on one hand I WANT to travel, I want to enjoy EVERYDAY to the fullest,  but I'm scared to death of this. I feel alone. I'm not not allowed back to the gym since my heart freaked after the stress test. WWhich sux. I thought it could be hormonal,  but my ENDO says no..My last heart DR said yes. So I see this specialist on Halloween morning,  any questions I should ask? Suggest? I'm so confused. :(
Thanks ahead to all those that reply. :) its veryyy appreciated!!!

I'd recommend that you read the journal entries of a forum member names "Jannie411".  Do a search on her name and go to her user pqge. She put the entire procedure down in writing.  It's excellent reading.

Thank you! Yes I've had the stress test, the heart imaging, echo, and 24 hr monitor,  which of course I didn't have an episode. However sure did the next night, smh. I guess I'm just really freaked out, I've put off other surgeries becuz I am terrified,  so now doing this with my heart, being awake. Going in blind basically scares me big time. Becuz even though theres pproof of VTAC, proof all my ekgs r abnormal. My cardio says all my other tests came back good. Idk how, to me its weird. I am sooo thankful to have found u guys, I have been very alone about this. I read up about it bring a pretty routine test and very low percentage of side effects but it still scary. A friend my age I went to school with had it they did the ablation and she's 90% better. Only has episodes when she's tired and stressed.
Now do u guys wake up to these? I only have once in all these years. I think its weird I like to sleep becuz I feel normal if tthat makes sense. Lol.
Thank u!!!

By "EPS test", I assume this will be an "electrophysiology study".  There's usually a number of more minor tests done before moving onto an EP study.  These usually include a 30 day monitor, and perhaps a stress echo or some other kind of imaging.  A large number of us here have had an EP study performed.  It requires a day in the hospital, and possibly an overnight stay for observation.  After effects may include a leg(s) from catheter insertion and some possible physical weakness while the heart recovers.m there are some great write-ups on the procedure.  Check the journals of user Jannie411 for complete details on the procedure.

Hi.  First know, you are not alone!  Everyone here feels the same fears, most of us, all the time.  Second your EP well do an evaluation and probably some out all of the tests your asking about,  maybe a30 day monitor, maybe even a tilt take test.  He or she will know best what to do, and after hopefully you'll have some piece of mind.  Hang in there and let us know how it goes!  Sorry that should read tilt table test.  Auto correct... yuck
