i think a pulse of over 100 is classed as tachycardia,so if it has been constantly over this i would go to the docs.are you still feeling anxious?do you have any other symptoms?
Thanks for the quick reply nicolette. To be honest I do get worked up and anxious over the simplist of things so not sure if this has anything to do with it. I trust this site greatly but I have a habit of surfing around (not always a good idea!) so have read up about tachycardia.I am wondering if the more I check my rate the faster it would be because I may be anxious? I occassionaly have a strange feeling in the top part of my chest but not sure if this is related. Do you think it could be a weight thing?
Thanks again for your feedback.
you can have chest pain for a number of reasons hun, sometimes completely unrelated to the heart like heartburn or a chest infection, and yes anxiety about taking your pulse could well be making it faster.im the exact same,i will trawl the internet for info but i only end up even more worried than i was before!chest pain can also be related to anxiety aswell.
I will see how it goes (unless someone on here tells me different) and check a couple of times a day and try to relax more. I will see if I can get hold of a monitor rather then check it myself as well. If things don't change I will go to the Docs. Thanks for being a star especially this late at night! Still interested to know if weight plays a part because it's only over the last few years I seem to have put so much on.
Hey there, I normally too have a heart rate around 100..that is "normal" for me though.Plus when going to any kind of doctor im anxious and then there goes the tachycardia!I am at a normal weight.I think its always best to go see a doctor..better safe then sorry:)
