Thanks for feedback. My stomach doesn't convulse, just that weird feeling hard to explain sensation, more like that empty sinking feeling, like when you get anxious about something. This is really bad with PVC's then when run is over still don't feel right. I had a horrible run of them yesterday while just sitting reading, one after the other for about half an hour, has not happened to me before, they are definitely getting worse and am going to go and get a second opinion from cardiologist as they are scaring me to bits. My GP has not mentioned that I am deficient in any minerals, blood tests come back as OK. I go to gym 5 times a week and have no issues with classes (even though I do feel them during sometimes) I eat healthy, my blood pressure is on the low side and pulse is never under 85 even resting) when PVC's are bad pulse races to over 110 and over. I don't know why these things have come on and I am trying to research as much as possible to try and get answers, but I read a lot of conflicting info on how dangerous these things are, some say benign if heart structure normal, some say even though benign can lead to heart issues in the future, who do we believe? what do we do? I pray we can all have a "skip" free day:
hi i have something similar when my PVCs are at their most extreme intensity.. I had it alot when they first started and when i was absolutely terrified about them and also had some nutritional deficiencies.
my stomach actually does a little convulsion - a deep sinking contraction then jumping back out again violently. It happens for me exactly on the 'skipped' beat. If i place one hand on my stomach and one on my neck pulse, i feel my heart pulse in the neck and on the skipped beat comes the stomach convulsion - with no tangible pulse in the neck. Is this the same for you?
I had a cardiac MRI recently where they gave me a chemical stressor that provokes the sympathetic nervous system. As soon as they injected me with this chemical my stomach started convulsing like this like crazy (as well as my PVCS obviously!) - really my whole body was s. I hadnt experienced that feeling for the last 6 months or so.
I asked the cardiac doctor what was going on and she said it's the same nerve system triggering the PVCs and the other electrical convulsions in the stomach. She suggested i do nervous system training/ biofeedback etc.
It could well be that your increasing anxiety and obsessing over the PVCs means you are triggering a much greater nervous system response. Also make sure your diet, mineral levels (magnesium/potassim/vit d ) are all good. As i got my deficiencies corrected the quality of my PVCs changed dramatically - becoming much milder, smoother and less notiecable (although more frequent - go figure?!) and without this stomach convulsion.
hope that helps..
