PVCs and Menstral Cycle

Does anyone experience more PVCs around ovulation? Menstration?  Has anyone ever talked with their doctor about this correlation?  For those of you who experience PVCs more frequently during certain times of the month, how are you dealing with it?

How old were you when you started getting PVCs?  How old were you when you started to get them around your cycle?  Did anything in particular happen or change to cause an increase around your cycle?  Did you ever talk with a gynecologist about this?  I ask these questions b/c I started getting them around my cycle after having a baby.  I've seen two cardiologists and one electrophysiologist, and I've gotten a clean bill of health as far as my heart is concerned.  So, if this isn't my heart it has to be something causing my heart to be more sensitive....as you stated.  I'm convinced it's hormones.  I am seeing a very experienced and respected gynecologist next week who will hopefully give me some answers.  If my hormones wouldn't fluctuate, I don't think I'd have nearly as many PVCs.  It's the drop and/or spike in my hormones that aggregate the PVCs.

YES.  I have always experienced an increase in palpitations around these times.  Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do about it.  I did discuss it with my doctor, and he said that some people are more sensitive (chemically) to the hormonal shifts than others.  Luck us!  I typically try to avoid other things that I know trigger ectopic beats during these times, to try to lessen the discomfort and quantity of them.  I also find that avoiding dairy products at these times is helpful, and I assume it is because dairy is full of hormones and it adds to the chemical storm.

Oh yes!!!  I most certainly do notice a big jump around that time of the month! I think I asked my dr once, and he mumbled something that hinted I was nuts...but I know differently. I can say for absolute certain that my palps increase right before and during that time. Its horrible. It makes me dread it even more than usual.
How do I deal with it??? Like usual. Suffer with them. Thats basically what the Drs (cardiologists) have told me to do. how can they SAY that...?!??! But they do. Im sorry I cant be more help to you, all I can say is you have a fellow sufferer right here.

Seeing no response in almost a full day I provide the following.  This is provided by a "guy" so I do not have any personal experience - still the following may be of some help.  I did note your response to an older post on the same subject - perhaps you have gotten what you were looking for there, hope so.

In any case, it is widely agreed that caffeine and other stimuli, including internally generated from depression and or anxiety, can stimulate heart rhythm problems.  Thus I would offer my assumption that the menstrual cycle could also cause heart rhythm problems.  If these correlate well, usually occur every month, I'd say that is a strong connections.
