Is it my anxiety or exercise related? please help!

hi I started with palpitations about 10 years ago and have been on a total of 30mg of proprananol beta blockers since then. About 5 yeas ago I started getting racing heart when I was doing heavy weights at the gym that would generally last for 5 minutes. I eased off at the gym and they went away. Then I had a really stressful situation and they racing hearts came back with avengance normally when i was asleep  but at times when i bent down. Anyway two years ago I went on axiety tablets called escitralapram and this really helped and I felt much better - hardly any palpitations or racing heart. I decided after 18 months to try to slowly reduce my dose to come off them - well after about 2 weeks I felt awful, palitations and racing heart back. I decided I couldnt exsist like that so went back to my normal dose of 10mg. Everything was ok for 2 weeks after i had starting taking them and I joined the gym again, well after 5 days back at the gym doing light exercise my palpitations and racing heart are back really bad. I wake up most nights feeling like i am going to die with my heart beating really fast and taking 10 minutes to behave itself. My questions after all this info is, do you think it is exercise related? or is it axiety related again? I have been refered to the cardiologist by my doctor which i had to push for? any advice would be good. p.s I had a ecg a week back and it was fine. thanks paul UK England

It could be from anxiety or excercise,  your best bet is to see cardiologist and have them capture your fast heart rate episodes on a monitor for 24-48 hours.   The cardiologist can then identify what kind of rythm your experiencing and you can go from there.  Good Luck!
