Passing out

Hello Everyone,

Typically when i pass out because of an arrythmia, I wake up as soon as I hit the ground. But last week, my co-workers told me I was unconscious for between 20-30 seconds.  That seems like a long time to me, but my cariodiologist reassures me it is a normal response to my fast heart rate.  Do any of you also have similar stories of passing out for this length of time?

Josie

I am still having "express train" in the morning as soon as I open my eyes on the bed!

I look at it this way,I don't have to worry about low heartrate or a speeding heart getting out of control.

Nice to see you around...  I am missing many of the people at the other forum.  They said the pacemaker also act for "anti-faint".  Don't want to build a multi complex anymore.

My cardio finally turned my pacer down to 65.  I got 3 episoles of black out before Christmas, that's all (all concious, only lost vision).  I didn't see any good and I am still believe it is the pacemaker nightmare.

I want to try and let my heart beats itself.......  He paced my left ventricle again.

bang another one that Monday. They did something with my AV nodes. Then it starting hitting me in August,November and December was the worst one where I was turning
gray. They kept getting longer in January and Feb. of 2008.From here,U know the rest.I gone through all those test and one to check my heart electrodes. That confrimed I needed the Defib.

Did they say what kind of Arrythmia you had?  I had an ablation 5 months ago for RVOT VT and AV nodal reentry tachycardia.  We thought both were successfully ablated, but last week (after being episode free for 5 months) I had an episode and it was the worst one I've ever had.  Unlike you, I have been able to convert myself out of my arrhythmias therefore not needing to be shocked.  It's kind of dissappointing and I don't know wether to just try and forget it or to try and get my cardiologist to do something about it.

I used to get those attachs and my last one,I had to go to the ER where they
had to shock me,to bring my rate down.I now have a DEFIB.which helps getting
ur heart in control.

A long time ago.  I had few collapes during my SVT when I was having fever or palpitation last over night without converted itself.  The last one collaped at the ward.  My head hit on the bed.  (No pain when hit.)  I think I woke up pretty quick.  Back to the bed then I felt a big lump on my head which sore.  Palp all had gone and beated normally.  I put on the blanket and slept until the doctors came.  They said that I had built a muti complex on my head ???
