Recurrent runs of SVT and Syncope with no diagnosis

I am a 28 year old female with a history of SVT, Syncope and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (in remission). I've been in remission from the NHL for 3 years now but the Syncope and SVT's just started a little over a year ago when I went back to work as an EMT-Intermediate. So far no diagnosis. I have a cardiologist who has been great and currently he is looking at the possiblity of a tumor on my adrenal gland and refering me to an EP doctor to have a Loop Recorder implanted. The main problem is that most of the time they haven't been able to catch the SVT's on the heart monitor (until they did a second holter monitor) because I was able to vagal out of them. But last week I had a run of SVT where my heart rate went up in the 200's and was given adenosene by my Paramedic while waiting for another ambulance to transport me. In the past year I have had pretty much every possible test done...ekg's, stress tests, echo's, angiogram, VQ scans, CT Scans, MRI's. And so far all they have been able to say for sure is that I have a defect in the left ventrical of my heart which the "believe" was caused from the Chemotherapy for the NHL. My questions is....could all this really be due to the chemotherapy I had done over 3 years ago?  Is there something else I should be asking my cardiologist? I'm already on a beta blocker and Digoxin for the SVT's.

well, the adria is a known heart killer. You have a limited lifetime dose that you can get, because of cardiotoxicity. So that would probably be the prime suspect. Did your ejection fraction decrease?

It's known that CoQ10 might have a protective effect. I don't know if it might help to restore proper function long after. I just mention it as a possibility. Melatonin was another.

My impression is that with supplements in general, you try 10-20 and maybe one might do some real good.

You can also find lots of references like this:
"Acute arrhythmogenicity of doxorubicin administration"

(and doxo is yet another name for adria)

I did have adriamycin but not CHOP. The last regiment I had was VAPEC (Vincristine, Adriamycin, Prednisone, Etopside, and Cytoxin).

did you have adriamycin aka "red devil"? that'd be the H in CHOP or the A in CVAD
