Tachycardia Cause Undetermined

I am 27 year old, relatively healthy female who was recently diagnosed with tachycardia which has come on suddenly and not gone away. Currently, my rest heart rate falls in the 90-120 BPM resting. The ER I was visiting ran chest X-rays, EKG, blood work, and a CT scan which all came back normal. After determining I wasn't in immediate danger, they told me to follow up with a primary care provider. The primary care provider ran another EKG and blood work testing for hyperthyroidism. Both test came back normal. She told me to wait a few weeks and see if it normalizes itself as it potentially be caused by stress. I am worried for I am not under any more stress than normal and that I still don't have an answer. When I asked about seeing a cardiologist, she told me it wasn't needed and they wouldn't be able to help me further. What could this be? Should I see a cardiologist anyway?

Hard to say.  It is good you were tested for hyperthyroidism and that it not it.  Has anything in your life changed like diet or exercise?  Are you taking in more sodium?  Drinking enough water?  Drinking more caffeine?   Your resting heart rate is a bit high but it is doubtful a cardiologist would do much beyond prescribing beta blockers.  If you do not have another other troubling symptoms like chest pain or passing out trying cutting out the caffeine, sugar, carbs and things that may upset the stomach.  If you have acid reflux address it.  Drink lots of water and avoid eating heavy large meals.  Try to get some cardio in and address and stress and anxiety you may have.  If you can rule out lifestyle issues then you will know it isn't something that can self correct.  Also check into the conditions, POTS and Dysautonomia.  Both unfortunately are hard to treat so you may need to just work on your diet and exercise anyway but you may want to research them a bit and see where you land with them.  I do hope you can sort this out and resolve it. Take care.
