It's like your heart beats really fast for 3 beats and then goes back to normal? I do that too. Holter monitor said it was PACs. I have had a couple of episodes of afib and that feels different. Heart is just irregular and all over the place. That has been my experience anyway.
It's amazing how well your heart behaves when you are wearing a monitor isn't it?
Hi thanks for reply's guys, really appreciated :-)
I don't take no meds at all or drink caffiene or aspartame etc, i really do take care what i eat and drink, the only thing i do bad is smoke :-(
CFS1 - I think you may be correct, i do get alot more pac's than i do pvc's according to the monitor's i have worn! And i remember looking at my records agter my last 48hr holtor monitor, and the day time i jotted down, was when i felt the light beat normal beat and that was recorded as a pac! So the pvc's must be more noticable bang bang etopic beat?
But the odd rhythm i had i.e 3 extra beats in 30 secs with my pulse speeding up has not been recorded, nor has the reason why i went to see a cardio in the first place, where i was awaken by the etopics. god that was frightening, my heart was going crazy..
How do they know i don't have afib or something if my hear has not acted up bad when getting tested?
I have had a similar feeling, like you have extra heartbeats..and it doesn't feel like ectopic. Hard to describe but I think I know what you're talking about. Anyway....I was in the ER when my heart was doing that and it was PACs.
could be palputations? check any drugs you take for side effects, some pills can cause palputations. I remember I was on an asthma pump that caused them, and it turned out, the asthma pump they had given me (when I was 13) was for older people with problems such as Emphysema (Sp?) or who had been smoking for years.
