strong body shakeing heart beats at rest!!!??

aside from pvc/pacs.. i get these episodes of heart beating for hours that literally keep me awake it is not overly fast  maybe 85 bpm  and my pulse is regular and not really too many ectopics  but it is this thumping--it will even bounce the book balanced on my chest when reading in bed....i hear and feel it in my ears  feel it in my chest back and arms!!!!!i HATE it!!!!!it is just so forceful!!!the only thing that stops it is ativan after 20 minutes...and i hate to take ativan at all but cant stand the boom box in my body !!!! anyone else get it this bad?? any ideas or suggestions??thank you so much!!!

It's probably just a heightened alarm system, folks.  If these things go on and on for months, as mine do, you might be pleasantly surprised at what a nice, quieting effect a bit of zoloft can give you.  I don't need ativan at all after a couple of weeks of zoloft (though I stay on it longer than that).

Same here and for many years. On/off be it day or night. Totally no feeling, or warning, of them starting up, just boom and they appear. I take amiodarone. I too take lorazapam when the pvc runs get out of control, with some relief, usually. worse yet mine have grown in intensity over the years and especially the past 6 months. Guess we all have to get used to them sooner or later. I dont think I can ever get used to them! Take care..........
