Too low Cholesterol

I posted this in the heart disease forum since I didn't see a liver forum but I'm posting it here as well to see if any of my palp buddies may have some insight.
Here it is:  My 22 year old son's total cholesterol is 110, ldl 50, hdl 46, tryglicerides are normal low.  I'm concerned about his total cholesterol number, but his doctor is not.  Should I insist on going further to find if there's an underlying cause? Thanks.

Thanks for the link.  I'll check it out.  I've checked others and there seems to be a concern with numbers under 125.  We'll see.....
