As far as the stress test goes, I wondered whether the pain was caused by ischemia or something else. Did they say what they thought was causing it? Normally ischemia I think would show up with abnormalities on the ecg as well. Where as if you had a valve problem, like MVP, that would probably be detected on an echocardiogram if you had one.
You also didn't say where your aneurism was, although since it was detected on an ultrasound, I assume it may be on the aorta. However, I did read that some aneurisms can affect your ecg is a way similar with ischemia. I think these would probably be aneurisms associated with a coronary artery, on the heart some place.
I am also going to guess that if you had one of those, it might play some role in creating PVC's. Again, just a guess here. I ask my doc such questions. Like Jerry, I think some caution is warranted until you find out more about your aneurism. The aorta is a critical piece of equipment.
I don't understand the lack of treatment, and while diet and exercise are the "best" ways to control cholesterol, the statin drugs work wonders. I think you should discuss taking a statin drug with your doctor until you can get a answer on the aneurism - I'm going in June to get a scan of my lower aorta, just in case for me driven more by my advanced age than any heart rhythm issues - I suffer from atrial fibrillation.
