Im a 23 year old guy who has been healthy and sporty all my life. 3 weeks ago i had an episode of ventricular tachycardia which i happened to catch on a monitor that i was wearing just to see if anything abnormal popped up. Since last September ive had 25 EKGs, 1 echocardiogram, 2 stress tests, 2 stress echocardiograms, 1 cardiac MRI, and 1 EP study. The tests were all negative. Ive had anxiety all my life and panic attacks, thats why i was seeing a cardiologist. Ive had episodes of really fast heart rates that my monitor contributed them to panic attacks with regular rhythm. But this one episode that lasted like 5 seconds turned out to be v tach. Which I have never felt anything like it. I remember a day and a half before that i was given 60 mg of PREDNISONE at a hospital for an allergic reaction. It has a half life of 20-36 hours. So im hoping the medicine caused it. I had a similar episode 2 weeks before that, where i was given prednisone 60 mg, the next day i had extremely fast heart and palpitations, i wasnt wearing a monitor so i dont know what it was exactly. Its been 3 weeks and i havent gotten anything since. Thoughts? One cardiologist thinks it might have been the prednisone, the other one doesnt.
