Working out Heart Rate

On Thursday (today is Sunday) I was working out and noticed all of a sudden I started feeling lite on my feet and felt like I was going to pass out. I was working out on the elliptical so I slowed down got off the machine and walked around then went back on the machine and finished my hour of exercise.  I only had about 10 minutes left.  After my workout I noticed my heart rate averaged 130 something but elevated to 220.  I am 53 years old, female and going through menopause.  Normally my elevated heart rate is around 150 - 153.  Now I have been feeling weird.  Should this be something I should be concerned about?  I took my blood pressure this morning and I was at 97/67 pluse 72 then I took it again and it was 96/64 pluse 69.

That's the kind of rhythm issue I would mention to my doctor before getting back into exercise. 220 is well above you max predicted heart rate (167) and depending on the duration it could very well cause you to become faint.

Again, please mention this to your doctor to get it checked out. I would stay off the exercise until I spoke to some one, that's just me.

Good luck!

your pb and pulse looks good to me. Mine is low like that. I would however have a holter test done to see whats going on, because its not normal to feel faint from working out.
