Most common cause for dilated cardiomyopathy in young people is an infection. What does your doctor suspect?
I have dilated cardiomyopathy I know that is not what cause it i was just wondering if it is a side affect of this disorder or if it is something else wrong as well. Thanks for your response.
I don't think PACs can cause cardiomyopathy as they are conducted to the heart chambers the same way normal beats are.
It is important to know, by the way, that if you had a sudden "explosion" in the number of PACs and PVCs, something may have affected the heart (like an infection) that may also cause cardiomyopathy. I don't know which cardiomyopathy you are diagnosed with (dilated, hypertrophic, ischemic, etc..) so your question is a bit difficult to answer, in addition I'm not an expert.
