coumadin: yes or no?

my cardiologist had me on coumadin for stroke prevention, I DO NOT want to take it because I have nearly constant levels of pain associated with fibromyalgia and cannot take over the counter pain killers if I'm taking coumadin. my health insurance does not cover the pain meds that might actually help me!  Also, I do not like the idea of taking a drug that's made from the same chemicals as are found in rat poison. I take many meds and have trouble with drug interactions so want to eliminate coumadin as a source of allergic response. I read that Vit. E may provide the same protection as coumadin. Please give me your comments! Thanks!

Here's a link to some FAQ's regarding an NIH study on EDTA therapy.

You may want to speak with your cardiologist about using EDTA to regulate your clotting factors.  It is not the "norm" but if you have a sympathetic doctor he/she may be willing to discuss alternatives such as EDTA.

Good luck.
