hmmmmmmmmmm interesting---sometimes i think although i have been on antidepressants for anxiety for years that i need a med holiday and see if i dont actually do better....it annoys me that doctors dont think before prescribeing esp knowing the pvc s cause 99 % of my anxiety!!!was also just started on metaprolol at 25 mg a day in 2 1/2 tabs but really dont know if I Need it or not,,,,,,if the pvc s are har, less to begin with----just dont know what to do----i did make an appt with an actual cardiologist it is on the 6 th i think--the doc that read all my recent ecg s and holters was an internist that specializes in cardiologist,,and he was not freindly and unclear and left me anxious
Hello,
I think I can help you with this one because I have first hand experience. I took Zoloft starting at 25 and then 50MG. to help me relax becuase I was having maybe 50pvc/pac's a day. Well, the higher dose I took... the more I had. I got to 100mg of Zoloft and had over 40,000 PVC's a day. I was so freaked out that I could not even get out of bed. I went off the Zoloft and the PVCs were reduced back to about 50 a day. About 60 days ago I started Lexapro and I have NOT noticed an increase of pac/pvc's. I also started 12.5 mgs of a beta blocker. I still have a few flutters a day but NOTHING like when I was on Zoloft. Hope that helps you.

My PCP said celexa and lexapro were less likely to cause an increase in PVCs than most other antidepressants. I never took them so I can't say for sure.
